A novel modulation technique termed as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with subcarrier power modulation (OFDM-SPM) is proposed for spectral-efficient data transmission in wireless communication systems. OFDM-SPM uses the power of the OFDM block subcarriers as a third dimension to convey extra information bits. In this paper, the concept of SPM is applied to conventional OFDM using binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) symbol modulation. The system and its validity as a future adopted modulation technique is investigated over a multipath Rayleigh fading channel. The proposed system structure is explained, an analytical expression of the bit error rate (BER) is derived, and numerical simulations of BER and throughput performances of OFDM-SPM are carried out. OFDM-SPM is found to greatly enhance the spectral efficiency as it is capable of doubling it. Additionally, OFDM-SPM introduces negligible complexity to the system, does not exhibit error propagation, reduces transmission delays, and is capable of reducing the transmission power by half. Although this comes at the expense of some degradation in the BER, the power reallocation scheme of OFDM-SPM can partially compensate for this loss. Thus characterizing OFDM-SPM as a highly spectral-efficient, low complexity transmission technique that can meet the requirements of future use cases.
In current publishing industry, authors are not paid any single penny for their fine contributions, whereas publishers are making all the money by selling these contributions to readers, who are also the authors of other great contributions, at very high prices.
Therefore, we are creating this platform to regain the freedom back the researcher authors so that they can have full control of their works and have the choice to offer them with any value they believe adequate.
This is the first and only platform that enables authors and researchers to put their Novel, Peer-Reviewed, and Reproducible contributions directly at the hands of their readers with any price (including free) they see suitable.
Use this platform to build trust and create a personal connection with your readers. The more a prospective reader knows about you, the more likely they are to purchase from your works. Use this platform to sell your great contributions.
Explain why your store is the best place to purchase the type of goods you sell. Be sure to highlight the things that make your products and services unique. For example, are your items made locally, sourced from special ingredients or customized? This is the place to tell your customers how great your products and services are. Leave a memorable impression that makes them want to tell their friends about you and come back for more. Free shipping? Do you support a charity? Let them know here!
